Education

I hold a master’s degree in Museum Studies from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in History and Art History from Boston University. I graduated Summa Cum Laude and am a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I was one of two Museum Studies Fellows and my concentration was Historic House Museums and Museum Administration.

Museum Leader

I am the former director of Carlyle House and my professional experience includes both curatorial and educational roles. In these positions, I fostered connections between visitors and our historical heritage, using my research, writing, and interpretive skills to create memorable experiences for all.

Consultant

I work with museums to help make the past relevant and exciting for visitors of all ages, backgrounds and interests.  My projects include writing tours and educational programs for Historic Annapolis, developing a Collections Plan for Sandy Spring Museum, co-leading interpretive workshops for the National Park Service and planning city-wide events for the Washington, DC War of 1812 Bicentennial.
